BLOCKING THE TRADE OF IMITATION ITALIAN PROSECCO IN THE UK

The collaboration between Italy and the UK has resulted in new steps to combat the sale in the UK of imitation Italian sparkling wine, Prosecco. The Department for Environment Food and Rural affairs conducted a number of controls all around UK to stop the illegal sale on draft of italian Prosecco. These actions are targeted at blocking distribution and sales in store and online. The Italian minister of agriculture Maurizio Martina expressed his support and thanked the British authorities.
